Recently students had the opportunity to step inside the history of global markets with a visit to the Milan Stock Exchange! Dating back to 1932, the Exchange has evolved from in-person trading on the main floor to today’s automated processes.
The experience began with a sit-down presentation, “Inside the Markets”, with a former stockbroker who guided students through the inner workings of Italy’s stock market and its international connections. The students also participated in a live trading demonstration, analyzed current market trends, and discussed their predictions for top-performing stocks!
This visit was the final finance field trip of the semester, which included a historical journey through Europe’s financial past. Thank you to everyone involved in creating and facilitating these experiences for our finance students!
